Broken Yolk Cafe got it's start in 1979 as a popular neighborhood stop for breakfast and brunch in San Diego's Pacific Beach. Nearly half a century later, and our legacy concept hasn't forgotten those laid-back, SoCal roots. Though, we have stretched them across the Southwest, offering new communities a taste of brunch on the sunnyside, and entrepreneurs the chance to join a brand leading the way in sales, culinary innovation and guest experience. Thank you to the team at Franchise Times for recognizing Broken Yolk Cafe as one of the most worthwhile franchise investments of 2025 in this year's Zor Awards! https://lnkd.in/gcy2igKJ
关于我们
Fresh. Friendly. Family Owned. The Original Broken Yolk Cafe started in 1979 in Pacific Beach, a local beach community in San Diego, California. For years, wait lines ran out the door on weekends causing passers-by to stop in and give the restaurant a try. “Once they tried us, they were generally hooked. We’re known for high quality, homemade food and large portions,” says the brand owner. After a 2009 feature on The Travel Channel’s Man vs Food introduced the brand to millions of viewers outside of Southern California, calls came in from would-be investors, causing the owners to seek help with a franchise expansion model. Now the hometown favorite has grown to 36 locations with 15 of them just in San Diego County and the rest spread across the United States. Like any growing brand, we’ll continue to stay current with demographic trends, but our primary focus will always be on serving high quality food and giving each guest a great experience.

Heading into the summer months, we are introducing several limited-time offers bringing a taste of the tropics to brunch! First off, the Aloha Chicken Sandwich is packed with flavors of the Pacific. Featuring panko-breaded crispy chicken, the sandwich is topped with kale and pineapple slaw, serrano chile sauce and Mike’s Hot Honey. This new offering is served on a King’s Hawaiian bun with choice of a side. Next up is Island French Toast made with coconut-crusted King’s Hawaiian sliced bread griddled to a golden brown and topped with fresh diced strawberries and a drizzle of condensed milk. Finally, two beverages finish out the lineup. Pineapple Coconut Mimosa and Pineapple Matcha. The items were conceived and created by Director of Culinary, Maria Gelastopoulos and will run May 3 – June 30 at participating locations.
