Sometimes the worst circumstances create opportunities – opportunities to show how strong you are, how much you care, and how much you can do. Hurricane Helene brought incredible destruction to our doorstep, but the Ocozzio team demonstrated our strength, caring, and capabilities. Our amazing remote team members kept things moving for our business while those directly impacted by the hurricane cared for their families and houses. Those who had power and water opened their homes to those who didn’t. There were endless texts to check on each other, calls to hear each other’s stories, and shoulders to lean on when the outlook was bleak. Local businesses like Head Capital Advisors offered up their wifi and space so we could continue to work while we waited for our own office to get up and running. And here we are, all of us accounted for and safe, back to work. While it will take some time for things to feel normal again, we’re so grateful for each other and the support we’ve felt from our community and our clients. #augustastrong #localbusiness #strongertogether

Whether in Raleigh like us, along the coast or on the border of Tennessee, we’re all North Carolinians. And our collective hearts are broken for the devastation of Western North Carolina from Hurricane Helene. Seeing so many people, businesses, and even those thousands of miles away rally to support businesses and families has been nothing short of awe-inspiring. As we spoke with other businesses in our immediate area about how Slingshot Coffee Co. could best lend our support, it became clear that we collectively had resources, equipment and expertise that could get critical drinking water out West quickly, efficiently and with lower environmental impact than plastic. We’re grateful to be able to come together with our friends at CanSource, Rocky Mount Mills and Happy Dirt , and work with the teams at Chai Pani Asheville and World Central Kitchen to distribute more than 5,000 cans of fresh, clean drinking water to our community in Western NC starting next week. Thanks to everyone who has reached out to check in on our Ocozzio team here in Augusta. Augusta was hit by Hurricane Helene and unfortunately, our city sustained severe damage. We're relieved to report all of our employees are safe, however the majority still do not have access to power, water or the internet. ? That said, we will be up and running on Monday but with a limited staff. We appreciate your patience and understanding and for thinking of us! #HurricaneHelene
