??♂???? Introducing the Broadbent Trail Team! ?????♂? We believe in celebrating employees who go the distance—both in their work and on the trails and we’ve taken notice of something pretty remarkable. Several of our team members aren’t just runners, they’re ultramarathoners! That means they’re tackling races longer than a traditional marathon (26.2 miles), often pushing through rugged trails, extreme conditions, and mind-boggling distances of 50K, 100K, 100 miles, or even 250 miles. Their determination and passion for pushing limits is truly inspiring. To celebrate this incredible drive, we’ve formed the Broadbent Trail Team—our group of ultramarathoners who embody resilience, discipline, and the spirit of adventure. And they’re already off to an impressive start! In just the first quarter of this year, they’ve collectively logged 124 miles in official races—and that’s just the beginning! We’ll be tracking their progress throughout the year as they chase new milestones and continue to push their limits. Stay tuned for updates and join us in cheering them on. ???? hashtag #BroadbentTrailTeam Photo credit: Lauren Klein

The Nevada State Historic Preservation Office recently announced that the League of United Latin American Citizens’ (LULAC) Multi-Purpose Senior Center, located at 330 North 13th Street, Las Vegas, NV, has officially been listed in the National Register of Historic Places by the National Park Service. Last year, Broadbent had the opportunity to complete the study and National Register nomination on behalf of the City of Las Vegas. The LULAC Multi-Purpose Senior Center, also known as the Arturo Cambiero Senior Center, was built between 1985 and 1986 with a Spanish Colonial Revival architectural style. The building is one of only two senior centers nationwide designed and constructed by LULAC. This significant designation recognizes LULAC’s vital role in Las Vegas history and its importance to the Hispanic and Latino communities.?Learn more at the link below: https://lnkd.in/gpk7nkdF

At Broadbent, we believe in celebrating the achievements of our team members, and today, we’re proud to congratulate our Engineering Technician, Abbigail Hoffman, on receiving a scholarship from the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) Colorado Chapter! Abbigail’s ambition and passion for engineering set her apart, as she was the only high school recipient in the state of Colorado to receive this scholarship. Please join us in congratulating Abbigail on this well-earned achievement!

A huge shoutout to Canyon Coolers for hosting another epic Cooler Runnings event! Each year, participants donate to the Flagstaff Family Food Center and receive a Canyon Cooler to transform into a bobsled for a day of racing and fun. This year, we went full historic mining mode and turned our cooler into a minecart! While we didn’t take first in the race, we did bring home 1st place for Best Costume and 3rd for Best-Looking Sled! A big thanks to everyone who participated and helped raise money for a great cause! #CoolerRunnings #CoolerRunnings2025 #CanyonCoolers #MinecartMadness #RacingForACause #FlagstaffFamilyFoodCenter

Last week, we had the opportunity to volunteer alongside our fellow Colorado Groundwater Association (CGWA) members at a local school’s STEAM Night, where we set up an interactive water cycle booth for the kids. CHALLENGE TO EXCELLENCE CHARTER SCHOOL, in Parker, CO, is dedicated to fostering science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) education, and we’re proud to support their mission!

This year's Society for Historical Archaeology Conference took place in New Orleans, Louisiana. Their 58th Annual Conference on Historical and Underwater Archaeology brought together experts, students, and industry professionals for four days filled with workshops, roundtables, special events, and engaging symposiums. Broadbent’s cultural resources Division Manager, Margo Memmott, who was in attendance at the conference was able to reconnect with former University of Nevada, Reno classmates now teaching and working across the U.S. She also found inspiration from her colleagues research in urban archaeology that she hopes to apply to her ongoing research in Virginia City, Nevada. One of the standout sessions was the Symposium on The Intersection Between Natural and Cultural Heritage and the Pressing Threats to Both. Juanita Bonnifield’s presentation, Honoring the Loss: Reflections on the Archaeological and Ecological Impacts of Recent Wildfires, delivered powerful insights into the devastating effects of wildfires on both cultural landmarks and the natural environment. Her work is a testament to the importance of preserving our shared heritage, in the face of modern challenges.
