We are honoured to contribute to a crucial national-level forum about rural development led by the Ministry of Rural Development, GoI. On behalf of BRLF, Mr. Manas Mandal, Programs Officer (Eastern Zone), had the opportunity to present the observations and recommendations on Assam from the 7th Common Review Mission (CRM) team in front of officials from the Ministry along with other CRM members from across the country. The 7th CRM (20th Feb - 1st March 2025), led by Shri Sanjay Agarwal, former Secretary (Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare), Government of India, was a critical initiative involving a multidisciplinary team consisting of 32 members of ex-civil servants, academicians, and field practitioners. This team was responsible for conducting in-depth reviews across eight states to assess the implementation of rural development programs, identify challenges, and document good practices for wider replication. Being part of such a prestigious forum allows us to advocate for solutions, share ground realities, and shape policies that directly impact rural communities. We are grateful for this platform and look forward to continued collaboration with key stakeholders. #CommonReviewMission #RuralDevelopment #Governance #PolicyImpact #SustainableLivelihood
