Work is progressing on the DeWitt Charter Township Fire Station Project! Sitework, storm and sanitary are nearly complete, thanks to Leavitt & Starck Excavating, Inc. StresCore,Inc. has completed the precast concrete. Building foundations were completed by Fortress Foundations. CAPITAL STEEL & BUILDERS is roughly 70% complete with structural steel. Here are some recent updates for the Warren Fire Station No 5. City of Warren, MI Masonry Facade, done by Leidal & Hart Mason Contractors, Inc, is almost complete, with cast stone details being installed on the front face of the building. Roofing installed by JD Candler Roofing Company started this week, and the building is watertight! Brivar got to attend the CN Grand Trunk Western Ribbon Cutting, in Wayne County Michigan yesterday, and we couldn't be more grateful. We were able to work with the IFS Services team to make this project happen. This 20,000 square foot building incorporates a railroad running through the North end of the building, as well as a 50-ton crane to load material directly onto each train car. This partnership with the neighboring steel plant, Target Steel, will allow material to be procured to customers in a logistically faster timeline. Brivar was invited to attend the Ribbon Cutting for the DTE Waterford Service Center yesterday and what an honor it was. Brian Calka, Vice President - Electric Distribution Operations and Emergency Preparedness, was present to officiate the event.?Not only is this 75,000sqft facility on 22 acres a “state of the art” facility, but it is the first service center DTE has built in 31 years!?The Waterford Service Center will be home to 250-300 employees daily.?The Center is equipped with several EV charging stations as well as a fantastic gym for the employees. Gary Wall, Waterford Township Supervisor and Dave Coulter, Oakland County Executive, were also in attendance, thanking DTE for their continued support and commitment to its customers and the community. We are grateful for our subcontracting partners that continue to work through these odd seasonal swings.?Snow one day, t-shirt weather the next.?Momentum Building Systems LLC is nearing completion of the PEMB building metal panel and roofing.?Concrete Placement, LLC has resteel and wall panels underway for the 20’ tall concrete walls of the Salt Barn.?MASONRY SOLUTIONS MIDWEST LLC has finished the load bearing precast and is starting on the brick veneer.?Precast Plank above the office area and tool/fluids rooms was completed this week. ?
