For over 54 years, Britt, Peters and Associates (BPA) has been a leader in civil and structural engineering. We've helped plan, design and project-manage thousands of challenging projects for clients with stringent budget, schedule and quality requirements. Our multidisciplinary staff works collaboratively with clients on a local, regional and national basis across a variety of industries. With roots tracing to 1968, today’s Britt, Peters and Associates was formally established in 1993. It is owned and operated by five principals – John Connelly, Steven Dover, Seth Robertson, David Impson, and Bret Underwood – all professional engineers, and all sharing the same philosophy. We take a business perspective to engineering solutions, treating every dollar as if it were our own and we do so with a service ethic that clients often tell us is distinctive, enjoyable and refreshing.

Many cities and counties in the Southeast are experiencing rapid growth and facing challenges like infrastructure improvements, preserving greenspaces ??, and maintaining their community's identity. Spartanburg is one of those counties, having experienced a 40% growth since 2000. Their courthouse, built in 1958, was overcrowded and didn't meet modern security and technology standards. Explore the striking design of the Carolina One Sales Office, completed in 2018 and situated between Cane Bay and Nexton! ?? From the sloping forms over the entry to the dramatic corner cube element, this project sets a new standard for the area. The contemporary color palette with warm stained wood accents at the entry corner, along with the inviting courtyard in the rear, make this one-story facility a standout. It includes offices, a training room, conference rooms, a gathering space, and a break room area, offering a perfect blend of functionality and aesthetics. Located in the heart of downtown Greenville, the new United Community Bank Headquarters is a testament to the city’s growing economy and thriving community. The building is a 200,000 SF facility, with three levels of parking and 117,000 SF of Class A office space. It also includes 4th and 7th-floor roof terraces with seating, fire pits, and stunning views of the downtown Greenville skyline and Falls Park. The building was designed with high-end features and materials sourced from around the world. The floor tile came from Italy, the terracotta from Portugal and Germany, and the wall coverings were selected from Holland. Local artists contributed blown glass teardrops for the ceiling accents, and the stair treads were made from mahogany wood. The building is designed to meet WELL Building Standard ?, one of the first buildings of its kind in the state to hold this designation. Harper would like to express our gratitude to our amazing client, trade partners, project team, and community for working with us to bring UCB’s vision to life. The building is a result of the determined efforts, creativity, and successful collaboration of our entire team.
