Through the programme Nikos gained the business planning, accounting and marketing skills as well as self-confidence he needed to launch his business, a specialist coaching service for people with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and the first of its kind in Greece. Struggling to find help and guidance after his own diagnosis with ADHD as a student, Nikos set up a local support group and online community. Now his coaching service aims to equip those with ADHD to better understand their strengths and manage their challenges, building the skills and strategies to thrive. ???? and ???? engagements around #COP29 priorities in Baku, Azerbaijan, continue. Earlier today, ???? Minister for Climate (Department for Energy Security and Net Zero), Kerry McCarthy, and ???? Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy (Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy), Alexandra Sdoukou, joined the Powering Past Coal Alliance (PPCA) event at the Canadian Pavilion at COP29, on the topic ‘Solutions Dialogue: Scaling energy transition solutions in emerging markets’. This ‘COP29 Solutions Dialogue’ focused on sharing lessons learnt from fast movers, key findings and innovative solutions from international experts. COP29 is taking place just a few months after the ???? closed its last coal power plant, while ???? has also set ambitious targets, making remarkable progress and bringing plans to phase out coal forward – in 2026 instead of 2028. Phasing out coal is not an easy task, given the impact on affected communities and local economies, which is why it’s even more important to showcase case studies and best practices from PPCA members that do well. #UKinGreece COP29 Azerbaijan #GreeceatCOP29 #UKatCOP29

???? Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero Ed Miliband joined a ministerial dialogue hosted at the ???? Pavilion to discuss #energy and #climate security and the pivotal role international partnerships can play in accelerating the clean #energytransition. SoS talked about how the UK became the first G7 economy to phase out coal, with renewables paving the way for a sustainable future and economic #growth. ???? Deputy Minister Alexandra Sdoukou outlined Greece’s remarkable energy transition progress, plans to bring coal exit forward, forge new partnerships, establish new interconnections and steadily transform the country into a regional hub for #greenenergy. Esteemed speakers from Romania, Serbia and Malta shared their invaluable insights from their respective energy transition journeys, contributing to a fruitful discussion. In his concluding remarks, SoS talked about the Global Clean Power Alliance - a political alliance of countries committed to accelerating the clean energy transition - the UK is about to launch. As we are resetting our relationship with Europe, we look forward to working together with like-minded partners strongly committed to the Paris Agreement. With sincere thanks to the ????
