Well said, Jill de Chavez. ?? ?? We know that real change happens when leadership reflects the world we want to see. Grateful for the women who push us forward every day—and for the work still ahead. ?? #IWD2025 #WomenInLeadership #EquityInAction
International Women’s Day is this week, and this one feels extra special—it’s my first as an agency owner of Briteweb. I’ve always believed in the power of women in leadership, but stepping into this role has deepened my appreciation for what it takes to create real change. It’s not just about having a seat at the table; it’s about reshaping the table entirely. At Briteweb, I’m lucky to work with an incredible team that proves every day why diverse leadership isn’t just a nice-to-have—it’s essential. We’re not just talking about equity; we’re living it, building it, and pushing the industry forward. This week, let’s celebrate the progress made, acknowledge the work still to be done, and commit to lifting each other up—because when women rise, we all rise. ?? Love this photo with my fellow leadership ladies Ali Pearce Rhonda Friesen ? #IWD2025 #WomenInLeadership #EquityInAction

A Ribbon unlike the others. Ribbon Community (Ribbon), formerly AIDS Vancouver, has supported and improved the lives of people affected by HIV/AIDS for over 40 years. Their team approached us to reimagine their identity for a new era of HIV support, prevention, and care—one that reflects where the organization is headed, while still honouring its proud history. Moving away from AIDS Vancouver stemmed from two key realities: first, the organization's breadth of community work extends beyond Vancouver—and having a name that specified a region felt exclusionary to those outside of it. Secondly, and most importantly, the persistent stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS made the inclusion of ‘AIDS’ in the name uncomfortable for some audiences. It was time for a change. For decades, the red ribbon has symbolized HIV/AIDS awareness and advocacy, appearing in countless organization logos. Ribbon Community’s new name was a chance to reimagine this beloved symbol in a bold, dynamic way. We’re proud to have helped Ribbon Community transform its brand and we continue to support their journey to end stigma.?? Our work together included: → Naming → Brand Strategy → Messaging → Visual Identity → Brand Support Read the full case study: https://ow.ly/OO1050V7m3J

Last week, our remote team came together by the ocean—surrounded by snow, sunshine, and fresh ideas. With team members spanning Alberta, Toronto, Niagara, and Victoria, we gathered on the traditional territories of the Tla’amin, Klahoose, shíshálh, S?wx?wú7mesh, and Xwémalhkwu Nations on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. ?? The team came together for a?Kitchen Sync—a shared space for open conversation about anything (and everything; just as the name suggests). It was a meaningful time to connect in person about common themes in our lives, communities, and the world around us. It was a week of dreaming, creative problem-solving, and deep conversations about how we can better support our clients. In a time of rapid change and uncertainty, we’re thinking critically about how to show up with clarity and impact. As we watched the sun rise and set, we reflected on our purpose, partnerships, and privilege. We're honoured to help elevate the impactful work of our inspiring clients. The road ahead isn’t easy, but standing alongside those fighting the good fight fuels our commitment more than ever. ??

Make your brand work for everyone. Think of brand accessibility as opening doors rather than checking boxes. ?? When we design with everyone in mind, we don't just comply – we connect. ?? Unfortunately, a lot of brands approach accessibility as an afterthought. But the most impactful brands build it into their foundation. Here's why it matters: ?? Clear, accessible design makes your brand more memorable ?? Thoughtful color systems help your brand communicate effectively across all contexts ?? Flexible brand assets ensure your story can be told across any medium ?? Inclusive brand guidelines empower your team to create with confidence When you prioritize accessibility, you end up with a stronger, clearer, and more effective brand overall. Ready to make your brand work harder for more people? Let's talk about building accessibility into your brand's DNA. #BrandStrategy #Accessibility #InclusiveDesign #BrandEvolution #DigitalInclusion ?? Save this post for future reference and share it with someone who might find it valuable.

Your brand guidelines should set the vibe, not kill it. ??? In 2025, we're leaving behind guidelines that feel rigid and restrictive. Your brand guidelines should be a living document that empowers your team to create with confidence, while maintaining consistency. When we worked with Arts Midwest on their organizational rebrand, we developed brand guidelines that would showcase how brand elements can flex and adapt while staying recognizable—like how their signature wave element transforms across mediums while maintaining its core identity. Instead of endless "don'ts," effective guidelines show what's possible. They provide creative guardrails that encourage exploration within a clear framework. The results? ?? Your teams feels empowered rather than restricted ?? Brand recognition improves through consistent yet flexible application ?? Content creation becomes more efficient ?? Digital adaptation becomes seamless Ready to transform your brand guidelines from a rigid rulebook into a creative toolkit?
