A?deficiency-free?status means that Bristol met every requirement without a single citation—an achievement that truly sets us apart. ???An Unprecedented Milestone In?2024 alone, Bristol Hospice achieved 15 total deficiency-free surveys—including both?CHAP and State surveys—an unheard-of accomplishment in the industry. We are incredibly proud to celebrate Dr. Linda Tavel, Medical Director of Bristol Hospice – Webster, Texas, as the recipient of the Charley Wasson Hospice Advocacy Award! ?? Dr. Tavel’s dedication to hospice and palliative care is truly inspiring. She has been practicing in the field since 2001 and transitioned to full-time hospice care in 2004. Board-certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, she is passionate about performance improvement, patient safety, and creating healing environments for patients and families. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, completed her Family Medicine residency at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital, and obtained an MBA from the University of Houston at Clear Lake in 1999. Her leadership and advocacy continue to elevate hospice care, making a profound impact on the industry.
