As a family-owned business with over 200 employees, Capitol Husting Co. / Allstate Liquor & Wine Co. distributes both nationally renowned brands and local spirits (some of which may be your favorites!). With exponential growth, expansion was a must—without disrupting daily operations. The primary challenge with this project was determining a way to maximize the building expansion footprint due to the limited buildable area on the site. The site itself posed several constraints, including wetlands, underground utility easements, and high voltage overhead power lines to the south. These factors significantly restricted the available space for construction. To address these issues and maximize the buildable area, we articulated the building footprint to follow the power line easement. Additionally, we engineered the building to support material storage on the second floor, effectively doubling the available storage space without expanding the building's footprint. The end result of our efforts was a two-story, 45,000 square foot warehousing and logistics space that supports Capitol-Husting's continued success. By carefully navigating the site constraints and implementing innovative design solutions, we were able to deliver a functional and efficient facility that meets our client's needs. Our project for Porter Pipe & Supply and The Dickman Company, Inc in Deforest is moving full steam ahead! We just wrapped up exterior construction on the 180,000 SF facility just in time before the snow flies. This new distribution warehouse will enhance quick and efficient service for all of Porter's customers, demonstrating their commitment to customer satisfaction and the company's growth goals. We are thrilled to be working with the Uzelac Industries team on a new 39,000 SF facility in Pewaukee. We recently held a groundbreaking to kick off construction on this new expansion that will support fabrication and manufacturing of their direct-fired industrial rotary dryers which are sold and distributed across the world. This new facility will support much needed space for fabrication, allowing them to work on bigger projects and serve a wider range of customers. Everybody loves a ribbon cutting! The Briohn team was proud to celebrate the opening of ABB Motion's new $100m facility in New Berlin yesterday. ABB is at the forefront of #sustainability, #electrification and #automation, and this new facility will help accelerate their impact here and across the world. The design and construction of this facility include many sustainable features including rooftop solar, geothermal HVAC, repurposed furniture, increased insulation, and energy efficient lighting and mechanicals throughout the building.
