We trace our origin to “Little John Brinly,” a blacksmith who set up shop in Kentucky around 1800 and made plows in his spare time when he wasn’t shoeing horses, mules, and oxen of the settlers headed West. He crafted the first “Brinly” plow with a wooden moldboard, cast iron front, point and heel bolt. While processes and technology have changed since our inception, our commitment to quality remains the same. Everything we produce has been thoughtfully designed, precisely tooled, and built for you, the “Do-It-Yourself” consumer – and crafted for quicker, easier lawn renovation. “Great spreader for my 1/2 acre lawn. I pull it behind a compact tractor. Two things I would like to see changed: 1) optional 12" extension on lever making it easier to reach from a compact tractor. I made my own. 2) Bottom is too flat so about a quart or so of material does not make it out the spreader when emptying. Overall quality is great.
