The sun rose over the City of Detroit, as the new Chandler Park Fieldhouse dome rose from the earth, expertly installed and inflated by the teams at L.S. Brinker, Brinker Team Construction, Edgewood Electric, Systemp Corporation, Poured Brick Walls Inc and ALBANELLI CEMENT CONTRACTORS, INC. The new fieldhouse will soon be home to football, basketball, volleyball, pickleball, track, soccer and more for Detroiters to enjoy year-round. Edgewood Electric and L.S. Brinker were in Detroit recently for a unique project, hoisting over a dozen pieces of new electrical equipment, each weighing up to 14,000 lbs., through a small opening in the side of a building high above street level. ? This process required strict attention to detail?and extensive coordination between personnel from L.S. Brinker, Edgewood Electric, the Owner and lift contractor, Capital City Group - A Bay Crane Company, to ensure the safety and successful completion of this project. #Teamwork #OneBrinker #StrongerTogether

Detroit Horse Power will soon bring one of the largest urban equestrian centers in the country right here to the heart of Detroit. L.S. Brinker was on-site this week for the official groundbreaking ceremony, and we are thrilled to serve as construction manager for this unique and impactful project. When completed, the center will provide a permanent home for Detroit Horse Power programs which will help build critical social and emotional skills in Detroit's youth through interactions with and caring for horses. It will also serve as a community center for local residents, with a variety of beautiful finishes and modern amenities for all to enjoy. The final piece of structural steel was signed and hoisted into place atop the new DDOT Coolidge Operations & Maintenance Facility, by the team from BRINKER, The Christman Company, DLZ Corporation, Midwest Steel, Inc. and the City of Detroit. The new facility will soon bring major enhancements to the working environment for DDOT drivers and operations staff, with future amenities including a lounge, exercise area, new dispatch area, offices and all the functions of a “state-of-the-art” bus terminal complex, including a training simulator. #ToppingOut #BuildingDetroit #DDOT

It's been just over 8 months since demolition began on the old DDOT Coolidge Terminal, and construction is well underway on 3 new buildings, totaling nearly 200,000 sq. ft. over 22 acres of property, that will comprise the new DDOT Coolidge Operations & Maintenance Facility.
