We're thrilled to celebrate the success that BRINK and Human Rights Campaign are having with their poignant and timely short film, "Daniel Really Suits You". An Official Selection for the Sundance Film Festival's 2025 Brand Storytelling Award, the short is part of a broader ad campaign, coming at a time when trans youth are unfortunately under attack across the country. Watch the full video ?? https://lnkd.in/ekMT7r77 Not only is the short a breathtaking work of art, it is also a wonderful example of Creative and Data teams working together to validate creative concepts and test different approaches. From HRC: "Message testing around 'Daniel Really Suits You' continues to show that when people unfamiliar with transgender youth learn more about their lives, they walk away feeling more positively about LGBTQ+ people. When compared with a placebo video, testing showed a net +5 shift when asked about people’s rights to express their gender openly, [...] Those who saw the ad were also less likely to say the country has gone “too far” in accepting transgender people and more likely to say we have not gone far enough, with a +6 net shift."

This short film presented by Human Rights Campaign was built on real lives, real families, and all too real teenage milestones. We cast the Trujillos and their son Daniel (not actors) to reveal a simple truth: transgender youth experience the same love, joy, and challenges as anyone else. Friends in DC: On Sep 4 we are hosting a panel called "Branding the Arts" in partnership with AAF DC - American Advertising Federation DC Chapter featuring our own Joshua Belhumeur and Scott Bushnell, Creative Director & Brand Strategist at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Arts organizations across the country face the dual challenge of an aging patron base and shrinking interest in traditional membership models. In this chat, we?will delve into the work The Kennedy Center is doing to build a strong brand that resonates with young and diverse audiences and how it comes to life through advertising, content and experiences. We will also discuss how arts organizations can remain a vital part of our cultural fabric by both evolving to meet changing expectations and by putting in the work to help inspire young?people to see and believe in their value. In DC August 8th? Come enjoy an advance preview of a talk we'll be giving at SXSW 2025 and after share beverage with us and the other cool people we know. ?????? ?????????????? >>> What do you picture when you hear the word “propaganda”? Nazis? North Korea? The CIA? Why not the Geico Gecko or Barbie movie? In this talk, we challenge the marketing profession’s delusions about the origins, techniques and cultural impact of the work we do. We examine how 20th century wartime propaganda became the foundation of all consumer marketing and dissect how it evolved across generations of media, with consequences we are all facing today.
