We secured 61 pieces of coverage for our client in the past two months, and Q1 hasn't even finished. This included 14 pieces of national coverage, and 51% included follow links to deeper pages on the client's website; that's a 200% increase from last quarter??? But, how did we do this? ? Jumping on topical news moments - Monitoring the news and certain social media platforms enables us to have a quick eye on what's happening and what is highly relevant to our client. We were able to spot an opportunity, share it with our client, utilise its in-house experts and issue it to the media. This resulted in 18 pieces of coverage showcasing the importance of reactive activity and creating a seamless process that is quick and easy for the client. ? Building relationships with key contacts - we consistently get in touch with our key contacts and approach new journalists to see what they're working on and how we can help. Don't underestimate this approach; it has enabled us to tap into what journalists WANT TO SEE and help inform our monthly and quarterly strategies. ? Creating topical content - working closely with our in-house content team allows us to build topical content for the client that can be outreached to the media.
