The event was filled with insightful discussions, innovative ideas, and impactful collaborations that will continue to advance our understanding and treatment of this devastating disease. I’m truly inspired by the dedication of everyone involved—from the speakers and experts to the attendees who share our commitment to making a difference. Sharing a shining example of BrightFocus Foundation success in supporting early-career scientists and accelerating innovation through our #AlzFastTrack workshop. Dr Sandro Dá Mesquita was an attendee at our 2012 AFT (see back row on right in photo and link to the open access #molecularneurodegeneration paper). Yesterday, he was one of the distinguished speakers at our 2024 #AlzFastTrack meeting in Chicago, presenting his groundbreaking research on the meninges lymphatic system in #Alzheimersdisease and answering questions from information-hungry students. We are so proud that our workshop gave him support from an early career stage to subsequently successfully obtain grants from BrightFocus and other funders, and then grateful that he generously come back to help mentor the next generation of scientists. https://lnkd.in/exyYJZND
