Today, BrightFields held its annual OSHA HAZWOPER refresher training. This full-day event is always a highlight for our employees. The day kicked off with a delicious breakfast extravaganza, affectionately known as “Bacon with a Side of Breakfast.” After fueling up, we delved into HAZWOPER and HAZCOM training, covering the latest requirements and the importance of these safety protocols. To keep the energy high, for lunch this year, we indulged in a deep-fried turkey feast with all the trimmings and a friendly sandwich-making competition. The delicious meal provided the perfect boost for the remainder of the training session. Thanks to Jeff Vance, Dan Hartnett, Chris Hartnett, Jason "Dez" Dzedzy, Manny Perez and Casey Hoffman for breakfast! Thank you Tom McCracken, for deep frying the turkey and the homemade potato chips, and to all that contributed to the pot luck! *Sandwich contest winners: 1st place - Craig Olsen 2nd place (tie) - Nick Bradley and Marian Young

  • Companies often try to find the words to describe their culture. We at BrightFields often describe ours as a team, or a family. But those words don't fully capture the wonderful hearts of our people. In the days following Hurricane Helene's devastation, our employees created a donation drive and on October 12th, we shipped 14 boxes full of much needed items to Western North Carolina to help those affected by the hurricane. THIS is BrightFields! BrightFields is people coming together to help those whom they may have never met when they need it most. We are a firm dedicated to making the community and those around us better than we found them.  We truly are Team BrightFields!

Wilmington's Riverside community has broken ground on a new, $56 million Kingswood Community Center facility. The center, managed by The WRK Group, will offer additional space for educational, recreational and support services to meet the diverse needs of the community. Funding for the center is a collaboration of a State of Delaware bond and ARPA funds, federal Congressional Directed Spending, a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, as well as additional public and private money. https://hubs.ly/Q02MVGZp0 #ChooseDelaware #NetDE

We are so proud to announce that we have been recognized for the 11th year in a row as one of Delaware's Top Workplaces! This list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey, administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. Being named a Top Workplace is a big deal — only 49 companies made this year’s list. BrightFields was ranked #10 out of 29 firms in the Small Business category. We were also awarded the Social Responsibility Award based on employee feedback regarding the work we do in, and for, the community! This is an award that truly represents why we do the work we do. We are a firm dedicated to making the community and those around us better than we found them. We celebrate not just the company’s successes, but also the individual achievements and successes of those that make BrightFields the winning company it is – our employees!  This award is a testament to the people of BrightFields. We are who we are because of our employees. #TopWorkPlace

  • BrightFields’ Team members Kim Brinson, Sarah Hudson and Casey Hoffman were part of the volunteer team planting native perennials at the CBR4 bioswale demonstration garden at Constitution Yards in the Christina Riverfront! This bioswale project is managed by Tony Mottola at the Riverfront Development Corporation, designed by Olivia Kirkpatrick at Green Weaver Landscapes, and funded by the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation. It’s part of the CBR4 ecosystem uplift along the Christina & Brandywine Rivers. The Delaware Nature Society helped RDC write the grant. Huge TEAM effort! CBR4 is the Christina & Brandywine Remediation, Restoration & Resilience Program. For more info, see de.gov/cbr4
