New role: Temporary Team Assistant We are looking for a temporary team assistant to support the team in delivering events for our clients as well as provide sales and marketing support to our business development team. The role will also some involve travel and onsite support at client events.?You will be based at our office off Park Street, with the opportunity to work a 4 or 5 day week. Any other thoughts on this rant from our MD today? (He loves a rant does Rob!)
I'm angry and frustrated, and frankly a little upset. Today I'm at a conference for a new prospective client. The incumbent organiser has four members of staff onsite and charged a hefty fee for the following: No registration support, client had to man the desk and badge themselves No-one helping with the delivery of the content, despite a packed 2-day programme No venue liaison - hotel left to it's own devices, thankfully they are on top of it. All this from a "reputable" media sales agency that think they can do "events" for associations. They have delivered so little value for their fee, and what they have delivered is to a very poor standard. I implore all associations to engage professional and experience specialist agencies when you need to outsource. It doesn't have to be Brightelm - The Event Agency for Associations, you could also find any member of ABPCO - The Association of Professional Conference Organisers will be fit for purpose. I'm off to cry in the corner. (Note - library picture, not of said venue.)
