#Pineland is liberated (for now) and ~160 Soldiers achieved the deep accomplishment of graduating the #SpecialForces Qualification Course. Yesterday, at the Special Forces Regimental First Formation ceremony, we celebrated and welcomed these warriors into the DOD’s only #UnconventionalWarfare force. These Soldiers earned and donned their #GreenBerets. The beret itself is just a piece of headgear. But the reason it means so much is because it represents all of those hard actions and hard people that came before. It represents the #legacy of people that built the trust and the profession - and now welcomes its newest members. These #Americans are Sons, Fathers, Husbands, Friends, and Fighters. They are compassionate, brilliant, and lethal. They are now charged with the awesome responsibility to steward the Special Forces profession, represent to the highest degree for our nation and people, earn their beret every day, and to always go where they are needed to ‘Free the Oppressed.’ While confident in their abilities, they will be looked to, and looked UP to, by almost everyone they meet. These men #volunteer to make their way to chaos in order to usher in clarity. What’s also incredibly cool is we also graduated international partners from Moldova, Columbia, South Korea, Singapore and the Kingdom of Jordan - a true testament to our relationships and the #GlobalSOFnetwork U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School #GreenBerets #RegimentalFirstFormation #DeOporessoLiber #DOL
