Today, on Women's Entrepreneurship Day, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey that brought us here. In 2019, I founded Brigade Events with a vision to empower the next generation of female leaders. I wanted to build a company based on progressive values—introducing policies like flexible schedules and a robust maternity leave to help women balance their careers and family life. At Brigade, we believe that when women unite, they create lasting change. I’m incredibly proud of the community we've built and as we continue to grow our business, we remain focused on staying true to these values while maintaining profitability. I continue to be inspired by women like?Sara Blakely (Spanx, Sneex), Carly Zakin (theSkimm), Danielle Weisberg (theSkimm), Whitney Wolfe Herd (Bumble Inc.), Amber Venz Box (LTK), Shelley Zalis (The Female Quotient), Amy Griffin (G9 Ventures) and Reese Witherspoon (Hello Sunshine ). Together, we are all shaping a future where women’s leadership is not only celebrated but empowered. With love and gratitude,? Justine

The land of the free because of the brave. Every year we look forward to producing and championing a bike ride where veterans and service men and women gather with the 43rd President George W. Bush for a ride throughout the central plains of Texas. Today, we honor the brave men and women who have selflessly served our country and defended our freedom. Their courage and dedication remind us of the true meaning of service and sacrifice. To all our veterans, thank you for your unwavering commitment to protecting our nation. We are forever grateful. #BrigadeEvents #BringtheBrigade #EventPlanning #VeteransDay #OneNation

Design Matters. A time where logistics are momentarily set aside, allowing our creative juices to flow together. In these sessions, we brainstorm and explore themes — fabrics, textures, floor plans, color palettes, and more — bringing our vision to life while ensuring every detail aligns with our clients’ goals. April Zorsky, Chief Creative Officer and Partner, has led this branch of our business for five years, and draws most of her inspiration from interior design trends, other brilliant planners, and production teams in the event industry.? While social media platforms have changed the ways we can be inspired I still love a printed magazine and gather endless inspiration from my favorites like Frederick Magazine. #BringtheBrigade #CreativeInspiration #Magazine #Design #EventPlanning #CorporateEvents

Visiting the Space. Site visits are absolutely essential in the event world, much like how CEOs rehearse their presentations or athletes walk through their plays before a major game. While photos offer a glimpse, experiencing a venue firsthand gives us a deeper understanding of its potential, allowing us to envision the layout, atmosphere, and flow before the event takes shape. During these visits, we identify logistical challenges and uncover creative opportunities that elevate the event — especially for our international projects. They equip us with the insight and confidence needed to transform concepts into memorable, impactful experiences for our clients and their guests. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look into our site visits in Lake Como, San Miguel, and Scotland, which proved instrumental in executing these events seamlessly. #BringtheBrigade #CorporateEvents #EventPlanners

"I love my daughter, and I was thrilled to see her when I came home from work — but I was equally grateful to be at work." This Bloomberg article by Sarah Green Carmichael hit home for all of us at #Brigade. Motherhood hasn’t just shaped our personal lives; it’s fueled our professional growth, making us more resilient, focused, and stronger leaders. Yes, there are moments of doubt, where it feels like we’re stretched too thin — but motherhood has taught us the true power of adaptability and prioritization.? We don’t take it for granted that we can love our kids fiercely and love what we do with equal passion. Full article: https://lnkd.in/eYh4bxPZ #BringtheBrigade #WorkingMothers

The Importance of Choosing the Right Venue. Choosing the right venue is essential to the success of any event. The venue sets the stage for the entire experience and can significantly impact guest impressions, logistical flow, and overall engagement. Here’s why selecting the perfect venue is so critical: - First Impressions: The venue is often the first thing guests encounter, so it’s vital that it reflects the event’s theme and creates the right initial impression. - Alignment with Goals: The venue should align with the event’s purpose, whether it’s a formal corporate gathering, an informal team-building retreat, or a high-profile product launch. - Guest Experience: Consider how the venue will enhance the guest experience. Factors like comfort, accessibility, and ambiance play a crucial role in keeping guests engaged and satisfied. - Logistical Considerations: Evaluate practical aspects such as size, layout, facilities, and technology. Ensure the venue can accommodate your event’s requirements and any special needs. - Atmosphere and Ambiance: The right venue contributes to the overall atmosphere, setting the tone and enhancing the event’s impact. A well-chosen location can elevate the experience and make it memorable. The pictures below capture the stunning setting that contributed to the event's success in Napa Valley. #BringtheBrigade #CorporateEvents #EventPlanning #DestinationEvents

At #BrigadeEvents, each month we spotlight a book, article, or blog that’s inspiring and influencing our team. From thought-provoking business insights to innovative ideas, these highlights showcase what fuels our creativity and drives our passion. This month, we were deeply inspired by an article from Fortune by L'Oreal Thompson Payton, which explores the benefits of being a working mom — a topic that resonates strongly with us at Brigade. https://lnkd.in/gqbiPpyp “Women who are working mothers often find themselves more resilient and adaptable, leveraging their experiences to excel both professionally and personally. The multifaceted role of balancing work and family life fosters unique strengths that drive both career success and personal fulfillment.” This quote particularly struck a chord with us as it mirrors many of our own experiences and values. At Brigade, our team members balance their professional roles with family responsibilities, and we see firsthand how these experiences enhance resilience, adaptability, and overall success. This article reaffirms our belief that embracing the challenges of work and family life not only builds character, but also enriches our professional and personal lives.
