Bridging, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization primarily serving the Twin Cities, provides donated furniture and household goods to families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and poverty. Bridging gives hope – and for many – a leap toward stability for the first time. With locations in Roseville and Bloomington, Bridging is driven by volunteers and donations of basic home essential items from the community. Since 1987, Bridging has served 100,000 households (more than 300,000 individuals), and reduces landfill space by 11 million pounds each year. Thank you for supporting the 6th annual OMF Bring a Blanket event on Saturday! From the tie-a-thon on Friday, to preparing/unloading the trucks at the warehouse, drivers, capturing pictures, donor quotes, and event staff at four locations. On Saturday, we collected more than 2,400 blankets – that’s 900 more than last year and a 60% increase! Thanks to The Original Mattress Factory, K102, Nemer Fieger, and all the amazing Bridging staff and volunteers!

Kennedy and Kaitlyn are first in line at OMF Bring A Blanket in Eagan. They got here at 8:00 a.m, an hour early! My mom heard about the event on K102. We all listen to K102! Our family wants to give back this holiday season," says Kennedy. Her mom, Carrie, adds, "We're all about giving back!" This generous family is donating more than 40 blankets to Bridging this morning, and they're exciting to support Bridging's work of Furnishing Homes with Hope. Join us, stop by one of OMF's four locations from 9-11:00 a.m. today and donate blankets to Bridging!

Yesterday’s Give to the Max Day was fantastic! It’s truly amazing to see the outpouring of community support for Bridging’s mission. Over 300 Bridging supporters gave an astounding $60,000 matched by an additional $60,000 in funding from friends of Bridging, bringing Bridging’s Give to the Max Day total to $120,000! Thank you to everyone who supported Bridging!
