Bridgehampton Youth Tennis Project

The Bridgehampton Youth Tennis Project was founded in 2016 to introduce tennis to the 5-13 year olds who attend the summer program at the Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center (BHCCRC), a community-based organization serving low income families in the Eastern Long Island community. The tennis program runs at two separate locations: the program for younger kids (ages 5-8) at the 36×18 ft Youth Tennis Court at the Center, and the program for older kids (ages 9 and up) at the full-size courts of nearby Bridgehampton High School. Approximately 60 kids participate in the program each summer. The program, which is offered free of charge, began with 6 volunteer coaches, and has grown to a network of more than 30 volunteer high-school aged coaches.
