Exciting news from Conecta Italy! ? 63 entrepreneurs and 62 mentors have officially started their journey in three incubation programs designed to support underrepresented founders: Integra Lab by Programma integra , Worldwide Innovators by INHUSE - Innovation Hub South Europe, and Rise&Restart by REFUGEE RESTART These programs, run by incredible Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs) within the Conecta Italy network, are designed to equip the entrepreneurs with the skills, mentorship, community they need to grow their businesses. A huge thank you to our ESOs, mentors, and entrepreneurs for making this possible! We can’t wait to see the ideas, connections, and impact that will emerge over the coming months. ??

We’re excited to launch the second edition of the EDP Hope Fund, in collaboration with EDP and Ashoka Espa?a. This year, we’re taking it further by offering two tailored tracks to support entrepreneurs at different stages: ??Incubation Program – for early-stage social entrepreneurs looking to validate and build a strong foundation for their business. ??Acceleration Program – for entrepreneurs with established ventures ready to scale and secure investment. This initiative is about empowering impact-driven entrepreneurs with expert mentorship, strategic training, and direct connections to investors. Selected projects will have the chance to pitch for patient capital investment from EDP, with ticket sizes ranging from €100K to €500K. Less than 30% of the world’s researchers are women, according to the UNESCO Institute for Statistics. Furthermore, NextWave STEM reports that women hold only 14% of executive positions in STEM industries and only 8% of STEM CEOs are women.
