Not wanting to repeat any of all the former studies written on the subject of artificial intelligence, but having an insight like not many others on this scale, we’d like to share our analysis of the current position of AI in archviz at this point, as 2024 is about to conclude. AI is a massive subject, taking more than just a short article to cover all of its intriguing elements. The whole philosophy of artificial intelligence in arts, its impact on our industry on a global scale, the financial aspects it affects, etc. In this case, we'll concentrate on the actual day-to-day production in particular, where time-frames are prepared, images conceived, planned, drafted and finalized. As there simply aren’t enough visualizing challenges out there to quench the appetite of a true 3D artist’s, we’re making sure to arrange our own, in-house contests. Besides all the after-work hours and weekends, some unexpected gaps in a schedule will always appear from time to time, and that’s when the starved-for-creation artist strikes! The setup for this latest in-house design competition is pretty straightforward: -Pick one of the following topics: “Bridge”, “Tower” or “Cabin”. Yes, we’re keeping it old-school for now. -You design it, you model it, you render it. -You’re also allowed two opportunities for some input from your Creative Director, choose the occasions well! -Deliver the outstanding artwork before the deadline. Below are the winners in each category, with two honorable mentions from this latest challenge. The beautiful, almost 100 acre Freedom Park in Charlotte, North Carolina will soon be able to attract even more curious minds of all ages, with its New Nature Museum. Ensuring valuable space for exploration, learning and leisure, the Museum will serve as the epicenter for multi-generational learning, sharing a better understanding of the natural world, in order to consider what choices, including sustainable practices, they can implement in their daily lives that support a healthier planet. The students from Brick Academy’s latest course were not excluded from the returning photo battle challenge. Five talented attendees from the Image Generalist Course were once again tasked with spending 3 hours in a specific area of our beautiful city, armed with just their sharp eyes and phone cameras, finding that light, that composition, that moment that makes for a scene worth capturing! With plenty of fine options to choose from, we wanted to share the five most interesting images from the collection, with 3D artist Orsolya Mészáros as champion, having received the most votes for her photo.
