Brewster Companies has successfully wrapped up our portion of the I-255 project! Using a 336 with a grapple, we removed 33,000 feet of concrete median barrier walls, followed by grading 8 inches below pavement along the interstate from Route 15 to IL 157. Our team also took out the street light bases after our partners removed the lights and posts. Additionally, we tackled 24,000 feet of metal guard rail removal with a 321 with a shear—all of which was recycled for sustainability. With nearly 2,900 manhours invested, our skilled team completed this project almost 2 weeks ahead of schedule! A big shoutout to our crew for their hard work, efficiency, and commitment to safety. #BrewsterCompanies #ProjectComplete #HeavyCivilConstruction #I255 #Teamwork

?? Heavy Lift Bridge Removal - Southern Illinois University Edwardsville ?? Brewster Companies recently utilized a GMK7550 550-ton crane to remove the precast concrete beams from a deteriorating bridge at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) at North University Drive over the Norfolk Southern Railroad. Each beam measured 53 feet long and weighed 40,000 lbs., requiring precise rigging and controlled lifts to safely extract them from the existing structure. Once lifted, the beams were carefully rotated and lowered onto waiting transport for removal. This operation required close coordination between the crane operator, rigging crew, and ground personnel to execute each lift efficiently while maintaining safety as the top priority. We are proud to be trusted with complex structural removals that demand both experience and precision, especially in our local community. #HeavyLifting #BridgeDemolition #CraneOperations #StructuralRemoval #SIUE #BrewsterCompanies
