A very accomplished brewer posted a great Paper reference today on LI regarding Ethiopian beverages. I could not resist delving in to find out more behind the neat finding and comments on the potentially important probiotic nature of such beverages. So here goes. A tale of two Aussie Gins. A couple years back, for one of our Courses, Marcel brought over three small samples for me to run UV-vis profiling on. I only got around to them (If in Britain please send me a Round Tuit). Besides the signature fingerprinting, I decided to taste test and research a bit more. Culling new material and course notes on most botanicals, I came up with this special dedicated flavor map. We hope to run the next Seven Gin Team Gin Course in New Zealand next year or in 2026. If you love Scottish whisky (and others too) then you should read (reprinted) Alfred Barnhard's book Whisky Distilleries of the United Kingdom (ca.1896). Featured within are many BW hand-drawn sketches of many of the distilleries and views inside the operations. Its a fair dinkum classic. Here is one of my colored versions. I started to do these years back but have learned new skills with Graphic software since then.
