Whether you're going fully dry or taking a "damp" approach, moderation is key—and kombucha is a fantastic option to keep your January goals on track. As Lisa Moskovitz, RD, CDN, CEO, RD, CDN, and CEO of NY Nutrition Group, shares in Good Housekeeping, replacing alcohol with kombucha can benefit your brain and body. "Swapping alcohol for kombucha can promote better energy, mood, concentration, focus, and overall well-being," she says. Scientific research supports this: while alcohol consumption is linked to higher rates of depression and trouble concentrating, probiotics (which kombucha is packed with) are associated with improved mental health and cognitive function.
