As we wrap up the week, we’re shining a spotlight on our incredible field supervision staff who keep our projects moving forward every day. Iris and Monica are always on the go, balancing jobsite visits and meetings with Owner teams. They're involved from preconstruction to closeout, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget while maintaining the financial health of each project. Maggie and Trang are the backbone of their teams, tackling challenges head-on. From tracking changes, documenting meetings, and coordinating with trade partners, to rolling up their sleeves and helping wherever needed, they provide unwavering support to everyone involved both on and off the jobsite. Behind every successful project team is a dedicated staff that ensures everything runs smoothly. Meet the team members who keep Bremik on track: Kristin ensures every staff member is paid promptly and is the go-to person for any questions about paychecks, insurance, and more. Cary manages our Accounts Payable operations, handling purchase orders and keeping our suppliers happy and on schedule. Cara works closely with the project teams, handling everything from sending out contracts to assisting with project closeouts. Dana is the backbone of our office, managing phone calls, accepting deliveries, organizing catering, and making sure our project teams have the right technology to get the job done. At Bremik, women do it all from chasing projects to ensuring safety onsite. Meet the amazing women making an impact: Amanda and Grace work side-by-side as Senior Marketing Coordinators, creating project-winning proposals, photographing our builds, assisting with community outreach, and making sure we’re all rocking awesome Bremik swag. Kalie, Senior Estimator, covers a wide range of projects including K-12, multi-family housing, retail, and hospitality — you name it, she estimates it! Kaitlin, our Safety Manager, keeps us safe every day. Whether she’s visiting job sites or attending preconstruction conferences, Kaitlin ensures everyone at Bremik goes home safe. She also speaks at Central Washington University for future Safety and Health students and was a Women of Vision 2024 honoree. Meet Sarah Roberts, a true leader both on the job and off. As a Project Foreman, Sarah excels in finish carpentry and working with doors, frames, and hardware. She’s also a key part of our Superintendent Training Program and an active member of Sisters in the Brotherhood (SIBs). Sarah’s accomplishments include being named a Women of Vision 2024 honoree and a 2020 nominee for Women on the Rise by Oregon Tradeswomen. Off the job, she’s an avid birder and indoor rock climber. We’re kicking off Women in Construction Week by celebrating two incredible women who have been with Bremik since the early days and have played a huge role in shaping who we are today. Jeannie Spencer, our Director of Finance and a member of our Board of Directors, will celebrate 20 years with Bremik this summer and Marti Bourgo, our Accounts Payable Manager, has been with us for 18 years and counting. Their hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment have kept us moving forward through good times and tough ones. The entire team at Bremik Construction is banding together in celebration and support of Women in Construction Week! We have a great line-up of events and gatherings this week as we work to highlight the contributions of women in construction and to inspire future generations of women entering the field. We look forward to sharing more of our WIC Week adventure ahead! We challenge YOU to two tasks: 1) take a moment this week to reach out to a woman you know in construction and offer words of thanks, support, and/or encouragement, and 2) to ask a female you know—a daughter, granddaughter, niece, sister, or family friend—if they have considered a career in construction. Women now represent 14% of the construction workforce, but we need to continue working to improve our counts.
