Please join us in welcoming one of our newest team members, Dana Diaz! Dana Diaz is an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) who earned her B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Georgia in 2024. During her academic tenure, Dana was an active member of Engineers Without Borders, contributing to various community initiatives, including collaborating with Athens Habitat for Humanity to build homes. Her dedication to community service and environmental sustainability now extends to her work at Breedlove, where she supports the development of innovative and sustainable designs. Outside of her professional pursuits, Dana enjoys spending time with loved ones, cooking, dancing, and exploring new hiking destinations each weekend. We are excited to have Dana Diaz on the BLP team. We look forward to having her new perspective and expertise she will bring to the team!

With upgrades including new field houses and locker rooms, stadium seating, concessions stands and restrooms, synthetic turf fields, and brand-new track and field surfaces, these facilities promise to be a source of community pride for years to come. BLP Atlanta's Dip-Off: A Super Bowl Tradition with Flavor! ?? Earlier this month, the BLP Atlanta office held its third annual Dip-off competition, kicking off Super Bowl weekend with a delicious bang! From creamy fried pickle to sweet miso caramel, participants brought their A-game (and specially smoked potato chips - shout out to Christian!), all vying for the prestigious golden dip-off trophy. By the end of the competition, Ming Guan's irresistible tomato à la cream stole the show. But let's be honest - when there's this much deliciousness involved, we're all winners! The anticipation builds for next year's flavorful showdown! Who will claim the golden trophy in 2026? #OfficeCompetition #TeamBuilding #SuperBowlTradition #FoodieLife #WorkplaceCulture

Proud to Support Community Access to Green Spaces! Last summer, Breedlove Land Planning volunteered to create a Park entrance conceptual design for the West Atlanta Watershed Alliance (WAWA) during Park Pride's Design Workshop. The park, located in the historically rich Bush Mountain/Oakland City community near the Outdoor Activity Center, needed entryways that were more visible, accessible, and welcoming. Our team communicated with friends and staff of the park, conducted a site visit, and documented the existing conditions and desired changes. We then created an achievable design that met community needs. We're thrilled to share that WAWA has since successfully leveraged our design concept to secure funding, including a grant from Park Pride! This is what it's all about - using our design skills to help community organizations transform public spaces and secure the resources needed to bring these visions to life. #CommunityDesign #LandscapeArchitecture #ParkDesign #AtlantaParks #GivingBack #DesignForAll

This Valentines Day, we were able to get the crew together for our monthly BLP Lunch + Learn session. Ming Guan led the team in part 1 of 2 lessons on 3-D modeling with SketchUp and Lumion. It was a great opportunity to learn some of the latest tricks and tips to improving our models and communicating our designs effectively in 3-D. We look forward to part 2 in a few weeks!

Breedlove Land Planning celebrated the Lunar New Year at a local Chinese restaurant, joining the global welcome of the Year of the Snake, which began on January 29th, 2025. Ming Guan, a Breedlove Land Planning Landscape Architect and native of China, took the rest of the team to a local Chinese restaurant. There, she ordered all of her favorite dishes for the team to feast on family-style. While some team members were initially hesitant about the jellyfish, the shared dining experience became a delightful cultural exchange. This gathering highlighted the firm's ongoing commitment to embracing cultural diversity in the workplace. In Chinese tradition, the Snake Year symbolizes abundance and prosperity. Through this celebration, the company shared wishes for a prosperous new year with their employees, clients, and the broader community, while fostering an inclusive environment that honors diverse cultural traditions.
