Meet Taylor Rosenking, a teacher, CycleBar instructor, and T1D Champion. She has been living with type 1 diabetes for 21 years, and her resilience and positivity is an inspiration to all. Living with T1D has shaped who she is today, fueling her passion for biology, and deepening her connection with her students and others that share life with T1D. She also combines her passion for cycling with raising awareness and funds for advancements in T1D research and treatments, and driving cures.
Taylor, alongside Eric Tiedemann, hosted a Charity Ride for Breakthrough T1D on November 16 in honor of Diabetes Awareness Month. Eric is also a fellow T1D champion, who was diagnosed with T1D at 9 years old. This is the 2nd ride @cyclebargardencity hosted in support of Breakthrough T1D, and they raised $7,909!
Taylor's favorite quote is "progress, not perfection- one day at a time." She wants to share this message with the T1D community as a reminder that T1D management is not perfect and it's about making progress every day.
"Focusing on small steps and taking it one day at a time helps reduce the pressure and reminds us that progress, no matter how big or small, is what really matters, in the long run."
