?? Violence Against Women: A Global Crisis Today, on November 25, we stand united for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women—a day dedicated to raising awareness and taking action against gender-based violence. This day also marks the start of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, culminating on Human Rights Day (December 10). ?? The Reality ?????????1 in 3 women worldwide experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime. ?????????Every 10 minutes, a woman loses her life, often at the hands of someone she knows. These statistics represent real lives, real pain, and real injustice. Violence against women is not just a women’s issue—it’s a human rights issue. ?? Why November 25 Matters This year’s theme, “UNITE! Activism to End Violence against Women and Girls,” emphasizes the need for global solidarity. It’s a call to amplify survivor voices, demand accountability, and break the silence that perpetuates violence. ?? What Can You Do? 1??
