BreakAway Sports Marketing recently concluded a successful basketball tournament season, managing media operations for the State Farm Champions Classic, ESPN Events Invitational, Shriners Children's Charleston Classic, NIT Season Tip-Off, and the Vegas Showdown, which featured KU vs. Duke. It was a pleasure collaborating with Shawn Thomas and his team in Charlotte this past weekend. Grateful for their support in ensuring the success of all our CFP Trophy appearances!
Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Wuf from North Carolina State University for stopping by the beautiful newly remodeled Walmart #1452 in Charlotte. The Wuf’s visited the store to meet excited customers and to pick up their tailgating supplies for their big game at Bank of America Stadium in the Duke’s Mayo Classic Game. While they, along with other customers, were shopping inside the store, they had the opportunity to see the 2025 College Football Playoff National Championship trophy presented by Dr Pepper in person. This was such a wonderful event, and I am thrilled that the customers got to enjoy this unique shopping experience. Before the event was over, NBA HOF’er and NC State great David Thompson stop by the store for his college football and shopping needs. It was great to meet one of the legends! Breakaway Sports Marketing had the honor of managing the 1999 World Cup trophy during US Soccer celebrations, commemorating the iconic victory of the 1999 World Cup-winning team. The “99’ers” made history by defeating China on July 10, 1999, at the Rose Bowl, a game that truly changed the landscape of women's soccer forever. All 20 players from the legendary squad came together to celebrate their 25th anniversary through various events over the weekend. The festivities culminated with a special recognition on the field before the U.S. vs. Mexico Olympic tune-up match at Red Bull Stadium. They even recreated the iconic team photo taken after the 1999 final (dressed in yellow shirts). Spending time with this legendary team throughout the weekend was a privilege. BreakAway had an incredible time at the 2024 Frisco Bowl Golf Classic this week. We teamed up with 'Fast' Eddie Fernandez, two-time Senior Long Drive Champion, to manage the longest drive hole at the beautiful PGA Frisco golf course. 'Fast' Eddie put on quite a show, consistently driving over 360 yards! The best part? We raised over $7,500 for the Boys and Girls Club of Collin County and Frisco Fastpacs just from the long drive hole!
