Do you ever get tired of bad customer service? I'm talking about institutionalized bad service, where taking advantage of you is baked into the system. It's always large companies that do this when they think they are too big to fail. You never get to talk to the person who made the dumb policy or the dumb process. The only solace you can have is your one negative review among the hundreds that are already there complaining about the same issue. You feel like a loose cog in some large uncaring bureaucratic machine with no options. I completely understand this situation. I have been in this situation. The big difference between small businesses and corporations is the level of customer service a small business can provide. With small businesses you don't have to navigate a phone tree, wait on hold an hour, just to talk to an agent. With a small business, the person you call is likely the owner or someone close to the owner. The owner of the company is going to treat you a lot better than an agent in a call center. Florida State University (FSU) Building a New Aerospace Facility Florida State University (FSU) is building a major new aerospace facility in Bay County, Florida, and has hired Chase Foster to lead its construction and development.?Mr.?Foster is a highly experienced engineer with a strong track record in large-scale projects. His previous work includes managing a $1 billion nuclear submarine overhaul and a $30 million drydocking project at General Dynamics Electric Boat. He also contributed to the construction of the SSBN-826 Columbia submarine and developed a patented sand storage system for the oil and gas industry. His experience even extends to working on FSU's own Polysonic Wind Tunnel. This new aerospace facility is a joint effort between FSU's Institute for Strategic Partnerships, Innovation, Research, and Education (InSPIRE) and is funded by a substantial grant from Triumph Gulf Coast and a significant investment from FSU itself. The goal is to create a leading national center for high-speed aerodynamics and advanced manufacturing. The facility will be located near the Northwest Florida Beaches Airport and Venture Crossings Technology Park. ?It will include state-of-the-art testing and evaluation areas, collaborative workspaces, and a secure facility for handling sensitive information. The overall project aims to bridge the gap between academic research and industry needs; while fostering applied research, supporting STEM education, and developing a skilled workforce in the region.
