Three checks to know if a brand works - if you want to really provide value for your client, make sure your work meets these factors. All strong brands are: ? Instantly recognisable ?? Effortlessly memorable ?? Powerfully resonates If the answer to all three is yes, you've hit the mark. If one or more is not a straightaway yes, it's a no. You need to reiterate! Tip - Simplify the message, and the visuals will follow.

How do you get your clients to say a straightaway YES? ?? Most designers struggle to get a strong, simple sign off on their work - not because their design is bad, but because their presentation is. A killer brand presentation doesn’t just showcase visuals - it sells the thinking and strategy behind them. Sort of like you are pitching. And the secret to a seamless, professional pitch? A structured process. Here's how to walk your clients through your final design concept in a way that won't end up in 10x rounds of revisions... 1?? Start with the problem Your design should always be solving something. Before you show any visuals, frame the challenge: ?? What problem does this brand need to solve? (refer back to the brief and why they started their project) ?? What’s missing in their current identity / situation? ?? How does your process address the gaps? ?? Organize client feedback, creative direction, and research in one place so everything connects seamlessly. 2?? Lay the strategic foundation Design isn’t just about aesthetics, it’s about solving business challenges. Before you introduce any visuals, walk the client through: ?? Brand positioning – How does this brand stand apart? ?? Target audience insights – Who is this designed for? ?? Key messaging themes – How does this brand communicate? This makes your design process feel intentional. ?? When your design work is backed by clear documentation, guidelines, and rationale, your presentation feels bulletproof. 3?? Present the visual identity in context ?? This is one of the most important; don't miss it! ?? A logo on a slide means nothing without real-world application. Show how it lives on websites, packaging, social media. Help the client imagine using the brand instantly. ?? A messy file delivery kills the excitement. Set up a streamlined system so clients can instantly access and apply their brand assets. 4?? Guide the client through the brand system Great brands aren’t just built once - they have to scale and live in the world. Typography, colors, imagery, motion graphics - structured in ways that are easy to access and understand. Show how your design process ensures consistency across all platforms. ?? The best designers deliver more than just files - they hand off a complete brand system that clients can actually use. 5?? End with a vision for the future Tie everything back to business impact. How will this brand drive engagement, growth, and recognition? Where does this identity go next? Proves the purpose of the design with future thinking to get your client excited, and set them up to return to you in the future. Your client process should be as strong as your design skills. Make it structured, make it clear, and make it impossible to say no to.

If your client isn’t executing your brand identity correctly, that’s not always on them - sometimes that’s on you. A brand guide isn’t just a set of rules, it’s a system for success. Make sure it's functional, provides a clear vision, and you are providing the right support when you hand off your projects.
-
The Stack Module is now the Grid Module. ?? It’s not just better—it’s a game-changer in terms of layout possibilities for your online brand guidelines with Bravemark. As always, it is super easy to use. Just drag and drop modules into columns or rows and have it working in no time. Fully responsive and flexible without the fuss.
