关于我们
Brave is on a mission to build a user-first Web. Starting with our core browser and search engine, Brave shields users from the creepy ads and trackers that follow you across the web. But we’re also changing the Web’s money model with a privacy-first digital ads platform that gives advertisers access to unreachable audiences; users earn crypto rewards for their attention; and creators unlock new revenue streams. Founded in 2015 by Brendan Eich, creator of JavaScript and co-founder of Mozilla (Firefox), and Brian Bondy, formerly of Khan Academy and Mozilla. Discover our products: Brave Browser: Fast, private browsing that blocks third-party ads and trackers by default. Brave Search: The world’s largest private search index, and the fastest growing independent search engine since Bing. Brave Ads: Unique cookie-less advertising in discreet ad units built right into the browser and search engine. Want to help build a better Web? Consider working with us!

"The new feature gives users access to an experience that’s not available on Google, the largest search engine in the world." Learn more about Brave Search's new chat mode at TechCrunch:
-
Introducing chat mode for follow-up questions on Brave Search! Starting today,? Brave Search’s Answer with AI summaries give users a seamless way to ask additional questions about their queries. Until today, users were faced with two distinct options: chat or search. Search engines fall short for multi-step tasks like planning trip itineraries, while chat apps leave something to be desired when looking up websites, images, or videos. Now you don’t have to choose between chat and search—Brave Search detects question-like queries? and offers a chat option to let you dig deeper into topics. Try it yourself at search.brave.com, or read today’s blog post for more details: https://lnkd.in/g76JAk5q

Brave users will now see fewer ads, and fewer broken sites. This is thanks to a new feature called procedural filtering we just rolled out to our browser’s built-in ad blocker on Android and desktop (iOS coming soon). Procedural filtering will also make it easier to adapt our ad blocker to changes across the Web. Read about how procedural filtering works in this blog: https://lnkd.in/eAKQfmic

Brave on iOS has a new feature for quickly deleting browsing data that could track you. We call it the Shred button. Shred lets you instantly erase data that a site may have stored on your device. Deleting data from a specific site rather than all at once means you won't be forcibly logged out of your favorite sites. You can access Shred in three ways: 1. Long-press the tabs button. 2. Tap the Shred button in the tabs tray. 3. Select the Shred option in Shields. Shred stops first-party tracking that allows companies to build detailed profiles or track your interactions with them over time. You can set Auto Shred for specific sites so data will be cleared whenever you close them or restart your browser. Do this at Shields > Advanced Controls > Shred Site Data. To use Auto Shred for all sites, go to Settings -> Shields & Privacy -> Auto Shred. The Shred feature will be available once you update Brave on iOS to v1.71. We’re also working to bring the Shred feature to Android and Desktop for a consistent experience across platforms.

Bing is the world’s second most widely used search engine, but that’s thanks largely to its status as the default search engine for the Edge Web browser and other Windows devices. Very few people switch to Bing on its own merits, because Bing lags behind the competition on privacy, features, and results quality. Brave Search beats it on all three fronts.
