Have you seen FLX Retreats’ new logo? After hearing FLX Retreats’ story, Tim (Creative Director, Brandmint) drew inspiration from his memories of summers spent in resorts in the Catskills and the sense of wonder he felt as a kid when going to amusement parks. “Brands like Six Flags, Busch Gardens, Darien Lake, and, of course, Disney—they all had a promise of fun and the design intent seemed to communicate just that.” From there, Tim turned to calming nature motifs that were easy to understand at a glance. He coordinated with FLX Retreats to refine the direction, ultimately landing on a design and color palette that evoked sunsets on the lake. The final font reinforced the team’s motto: “Whimsy.
