A shining example of taking control of your own destiny. A gift to this firm, our clients, our teammates and others lucky enough to have her in their foxhole.
As I'm celebrating my fourth anniversary working for Brand Counsel, P.C. as an attorney, I'm contemplating my journey and evaluating my goals. If you know me, you know I tend to be a little bit nostalgic... ?? This picture had been taken by my friend in my hometown a few days before I boarded a plane to the United States of America to go to college (...and no, I did not know anyone in NYC at that time, but I'll tell you this story another time). To be honest... I had no idea I'd become a lawyer. New York was just a dream for a teenager who loved writing, math, photography and fashion. After a brief stint in fashion, I flirted with big law, boutique law, in-house, academia, and even public interest. I went through different immigration hiccups, and ultimately, ended up with an employment-based green card thanks to my employer who believed in me. A true... rollercoaster. Now I try to mentor students like me to show them the meaning of "per aspera ad astra" - a motto that my brother, Hubert Radke, instilled in me way before I had an idea about studying in the US. I'm grateful for this journey and I hope to do my best at believing in myself.
