VAxDesign Winner Highlight: The Valentine Museum Richmond's Valentine Museum won the Design Achievement Award for the design of their current exhibition: Sculpting History at the Valentine Studio: Art, Power, and the “Lost Cause” American Myth. The exhibition uses evidence to show how Richmond leaders such as Edward Valentine, and other influential Americans reframed the reality of the Civil War. Sculpting History uses artworks sculpted by Edward Valentine as well as documents, objects, images, quotations, and questions to connect the Lost Cause myth to today.
