We have just wrapped up another successful completion of our ABE -endorsed KidsMBA programme at Invictus International School's Centrium Campus. Over an enriching six-week journey, students aged 11 to 15 immersed themselves in the world of entrepreneurship, developing essential business skills in a nurturing environment. ?? Programme Highlights: 1. Insightful Guest Lectures: - Taimur Khan, Director at Citibank, delivered a comprehensive session on business finance, offering students a clear understanding of corporate structures and financial operations - Sindhura Sunkara, Senior Operations Group Manager at Microsoft, engaged students in an interactive fireside chat, sharing her expertise on operational excellence and leadership within a global tech company 2. Brainsteins Marketing Challenge: In this exciting segment, students assumed the role of marketing consultants, tasked with devising strategies to introduce a new robot into the Singaporean market. Teams had two hours to develop and present their concepts ?? Challenge Winners: Congratulations to Amayra (11), Daniel (13), and Namit (15) for their outstanding 2-minute pitch that impressed our panel of judges ?? Pitch Competition: The programme culminated in a pitch event where students showcased their innovative business ideas ?? Winning Concept Mikolaj Stesik (13) presented Ballerz United, a football academy for 10-18-year-olds in Singapore. The judges - Sunita Gill (CEO, Singapore Luxury Homes), Taimur Khan (Director, Citibank), and Jonathan Liew (Partner and Chief Business Development Officer, MDT8i Dynamics) - were impressed by Mikolaj's identification of a market gap and his proactive approach, having already enrolled players and established a clear path to market. On December 20th, we proudly wrapped up another transformative ABE -endorsed KidsMBA programme at Westbourne College Singapore. Over five impactful days, a new cohort of aspiring business leaders, aged 11 to 15, honed their entrepreneurial skills in an environment that fosters creativity and critical thinking. ?? Programme Highlights: - Engaging Guest Lecture: Taimur Khan, Director at Citibank, delivered an insightful session on business finance and corporate structures. Students gained a deeper understanding of how banks operate and explored the complexities of finance in an open Q&A. - Inaugural Brainsteins Marketing Challenge: Generously sponsored by London hotelier Tony Matharu, this new addition became an instant hit! Participants—current students and alumni—crafted marketing strategies for a boutique hotel concept tailored to young travelers. Teams had just two hours to develop their ideas and pitch to a panel of judges, including Lea Thurman (Westbourne College), Taimur Khan (Citibank), and Cristina Galichon Hanganu (Amazon). Cristina also provided hands-on guidance to refine their pitches. ?? Winners: Anjali (15) and Bailey (12) wowed the judges with “Stone & Ivy,” an eco-friendly boutique hotel concept. Their tagline, “Rooted in Comfort, Ready for Adventure,” earned them top accolades and a prize sponsored by Tony. ?? Pitch Competition: The end-of-programme pitch event continued to shine as a platform for creativity and innovation. ?? Winning Idea: Jack Cherry (14) and Nola Raymond (15) presented “Whisker,” a platform reimagining the pet adoption process. Their polished presentation impressed judges Elise Tan Yee Ling (Founder, Asia Startup Network), Neil McInnes (Scottish Development International), and Shoaib Ali Raza (Nexus International School). We celebrate the incredible progress our students made over the week. Their creativity, collaboration, and confidence were truly inspiring. ?? Tony is the Founder and Chairman of Integrity International Group and the visionary behind Blue Orchid Hospitality, London’s latest independent hotel chain. With an illustrious career that includes awards like "Hotelier of the Year" and "Best Small Hotel Company" (Business Travel Awards), Tony is a true leader in hospitality and entrepreneurship. He’s also a recipient of an Honorary Doctorate of Letters and a Fellow of ESCP Europe Business School. As part of this exciting challenge, Tony invited participants into the dynamic world of hospitality and marketing. Here's a glimpse of the challenge: ??
