关于我们
BrainMind is an ecosystem and platform for impact-oriented company creation in brain and mind science. The BrainMind Ecosystem is the first and only cross-disciplinary community of top brain scientists, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and academic institutions collaborating to accelerate impactful innovation in the BrainMind fields. The Ecosystem supports the full spectrum of idea formation across neuroscience and the study of the human mind, from basic science research to commercial ventures. Brain science is in the midst of a transformative step change in capacity, akin to the sequencing of the human genome in genetics or development of nuclear fission in physics. During this vulnerable period for the field, the BrainMind ecosystem will both trailblaze ethical stewardship and catalyze impact-maximizing innovation using the following guiding principles: 1. Build a collaborative roadmap for effective forward progress in the science of the brain and mind with top scientists and leaders in the field. 2. Within this wider roadmap, surface and focus special attention on the areas and ideas that are currently under-supported relative to their importance. 3. Leverage new philosophies of capital formation and infuse leaders in the entrepreneurial, investing, and philanthropic communities to support these pivotal ideas from the lab to society

We are thrilled to hear that previous BrainMind Summit cohost Edward Chang secured major funding for his new startup, Echo neurotechnologies. We are looking forward to see the progression of this incredible technology.
?? ?? New #Neurotech Notables just dropped, right in time for your flight home from #NANS2025 this weekend! In Edition 24, which covers the last two weeks of Jan (16-31) there is plenty of good news to offset any hangover from the chaos of last week's headlines: ?? more than a quarter billion (!) in fresh capital?including VC and public grants, a stealthy new #Braincomputerinterface company, and some incredibly exciting collaborations via Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA) ?? Nearly 9 figures in new funding opportunities ?? Half a dozen regulatory green lights ?? A trio of pharma approvals ?? New codes and new products ?? M&A, partnerships, and other deals ?? The usual gaggle of industry news & views ?? Some cool neuromod charts worth a click "AND MORE" Check it out and make sure to subscribe, follow Neurotech Futures for more updates on commercial markets, and please share with your colleagues, collaborators, or even your frienemies. Get in touch any time! My DMs are open, just for you ?? Happy Friday, all...I'm grateful for this vibrant network ?? https://lnkd.in/gS6tJA6K

We are so grateful for our BrainMind community who came together earlier this month to learn, collaborate, and innovate at BrainMind @ JP. This group showcased what it truly means to champion impactful ideas and drive meaningful progress in brain science. Thank you to the wonderful entrepreneurs and scientists who shared their work with us, and to our demo companies for offering hands-on involvement in the newest interfaces of neurotech’s evolution. Thank you to our cohosts, Maryanna Saenko and Sumner L Norman, and to Reid Hoffman for supporting our efforts and sharing his insights. We are always looking for ways to engage and support this community. If you're looking for a multitalented and scary-smart addition to your team, Emily Hostage brings 12 years of experience as a PhD engineer, neuroscientist, Harvard JD, strategist, and operator. She excels at reducing complexity into action, driving results in roles ranging from building $10mm+ investment strategies at Ivy League institutions to scaling deal volume 8x at a $5bn investment firm. Emily is now seeking senior executive roles (CEO, COO, Chief of Staff, or Special Projects) focused on transformative frontiers in neuroscience or similar fields.?On a personal note, I have been deeply impressed with her as an informal advisor to BrainMind and an insightful contributor to our neurotech industry session on Neuroethics this summer. Big congrats to BrainMind neuroethics advisor Jacob Robinson!
We're honored to announce our selection by the UK's?Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA) for a multimillion-dollar award through their Precision Neurotechnologies Program.?This funding will accelerate the development of our?therapeutic Brain-Computer Interface?- a network of multiple neural devices which hopes to precisely monitor and treat mood, attention, and sleep disorders. “This funding will allow us to accelerate our efforts to develop a general-purpose platform capable of accurately monitoring and regulating mental and cognitive states. The brain is an electrical organ. We believe that mental and cognitive disorders will be best treated by interacting with the brain in its native language.” Jacob Robinson This achievement wouldn't be possible without our R&D collaborators: MintNeuro Kaiyuan Yang Valentin Dragoi Houston Methodist Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University Special thanks to Jacques Carolan, Programme Director at ARIA, for recognizing the potential of our technology. We're proud to be among the 17 international collaborations selected for ARIA's £69M investment in precision neuromodulation. This global initiative brings together diverse therapeutic approaches - from brain-computer interfaces and artificial intelligence to gene therapy and tissue engineering - all aimed at rethinking and revolutionizing brain health. https://lnkd.in/g8XhD6dd
