I'm excited to present "Hands-on Quantum: Teaching Core Quantum Concepts with Bloch Cubes" at the APS Global Physics Summit next week in Anaheim! ?? Tuesday, March 18, 4:21-4:57 PM ?? Anaheim Marriott, Platinum 3 ?? Session APR-L04 The approach that chandralekha singh and I developed makes quantum mechanics accessible to students years earlier than traditional approaches.? Topics include: quantum measurement, superposition states, Born rule probabilities, quantum dynamics, pure vs. mixed states, quantum coherence/decoherence, entangled states, and more! Every attendee will receive either a Bloch Cube or a complete Bloch Cube Chess Set! To learn more, visit: blochcubes.org #QuantumEducation #BlochCubes #PhysicsTeaching #APSPhysics #PhysicsEducation

I'm very proud to share that I've co-authored my first paper, published in Springer Nature Quantum Information! The paper is titled "Digital-analog quantum computing of fermion-boson models in superconducting circuits". In simple terms, our paper introduces an efficient digital-analog quantum algorithm specifically designed for superconducting quantum architectures. This algorithm allows for accurate simulations of strongly correlated interactions between fermions and bosons, which are crucial for understanding complex behaviors in solid-state physics. Why is this efficient? By combining continuous (analog) and discrete (digital) quantum computing methods, we significantly reduce the complexity (circuit depth) compared to fully digital approaches. This means more accurate results, fewer errors, and better performance in practical quantum computing scenarios, potentially impacting fields like materials science, chemistry, and high-energy physics. A huge thanks to the amazing collaborators: Shubham Kumar, Narendra Hegade, Anne-Maria Visuri, Bhargava Balaganchi, Enrique Solano, Gabriel Alvarado, Francisco Damaso Albarrán Arriagada and the whole Kipu Quantum team Check out our paper here: https://lnkd.in/ecNxsd-S

Dear Community, Thank you for your incredible support during LAOP – QubitHub: A Quantum Computing Workshop! It was inspiring to see so many of you engage, learn, and collaborate with experts and peers worldwide ???. We are thrilled with the event’s success and deeply appreciate your contributions. It was an incredible opportunity to connect and learn about Quantum Strategies between Mexico and the USA, featuring outstanding speakers such as Araceli Venegas-Gomez Venegas from QURECA, Sandra Gesing, Torey Battelle, PhD and Michael Raymer. We also had the pleasure of hands-on activities with José Luis Rodríguez Gómez and Leonardo Zubieta Angulo from IBM, while Kristine Rezai demonstrated the Resonance from IQM. Mirco Kolarczik and Mireia Perera González from Swabian Instruments gave an in-depth presentation on the physical foundations of their time tagger device. As for innovative devices and cutting-edge technology for Quantum Computing, we had the privilege of hosting great researchers such as Daewook Kim, Omar Maga?a Loaiza, Ravitej Uppu and Andreas Schell, each of whom shared their exciting projects. Besides, we delved about Quantum Computing Education with Dr. Freddy Alejandro Chaurra Gutiérrez. It was a pleasure to hear Alain Chancé and Taha Selim, PhD present their projects leveraging Quantum Computing for AI applications. Last but certainly not least, Christopher Bishop and Mariana Filipova provided valuable insights into career opportunities in the field. A special thanks to the Mexican Student Chapters for their active participation: Oasis UG SPIE, UDG (OPTICA/SPIE), CICESE (OPTICA/SPIE), INAOE (OPTICA/SPIE), Lux ?terna UDLAP (OPTICA), and BUAP (OPTICA). We are also especially grateful to the speakers who kindly authorized us to share their slides and recordings—your generosity allows the learning to continue beyond the event. You can find the available materials here: https://lnkd.in/eWn44anH ? ? We look forward to continuing this journey together. Until next time—Stay Quantum! ? Best, The?QubitHub?Team

  • Yesterday, we were very happy to see so many students from Spanish universities join our online event to learn about bqb Quantum Youth. These were some of the topics that we discussed yesterday: ?? The rapid growth of quantum technologies, the lack of accessible educational resources, and the need to bridge the gap. ?? Our mission, team, social platforms, and future growth opportunities, including how students can get involved. ?? The opportunity to join a global community of students, expand networks, and contribute to open-source quantum education projects. Connecting with fellow talented students who share our enthusiasm for quantum technologies was very rewarding, and we are looking forward to continue building collaborations with universities and institutions around the world. A huge thanks to QSPAIN for collaborating with us and helping organize this event! #bqbquantumyouth #QuantumTechnologies #QSpain #QuantumEducation #Innovation
