“South Texas is vital to the economic growth of Texas, and we need reliable sources of water." Mark Dombroski, BPUB Assistant General Manager & Chief Operations Officer, emphasized the urgent need for significant investment in desalination and water reuse projects to address ongoing drought conditions in the region. Dombroski delivered this testimony during a hearing of the Texas Senate Committee on Water, Agriculture & Rural Affairs at the State Capitol in Austin on March 10.

"While the major impacts have been limited to the agriculture industry, Mark Dombroski, Assistant General Manager and Chief Operating Officer for the Brownsville Public Utilities, warned that drinking water for cities like Brownsville and McAllen will be at risk if water remains scarce. 'Invest in South Texas and help us secure alternative water solutions now,' Dombroski said. 'Delaying action only makes the crisis worse and solutions more expensive.''

We were excited to have Director of Customer & Support Services, Estrella Solorzano, our Division Manager for Administration, George Rangel, and Business Development & Key Accounts Manager, Danny Marez, represent BPUB as speakers at the Texas Public Power Association (TPPA) Customer Service & Communications Conference! During their presentations, they shared their expertise on effectively overcoming language barriers in customer service and successful key accounts management. At BPUB, we are committed to providing exceptional service to all of our customers, that includes offering bilingual services to ensure effective communication and building strong relationships with our key accounts. We are proud to share our best practices with other utilities and work together to improve customer service experiences across the state.
