We’re proud to share that the African American Research Library and Cultural Center's Black History Project Saturday School was awarded Honorable Mention in the Urban Libraries Council's annual Innovation Awards! Launched in partnership with the Orlando-based Black History Project, this innovative program offers free monthly classes for teens and young adults, enriching their understanding of Black history and culture. This program is designed to empower and educate and responds to changing educational standards by supplementing public school curricula with lessons crafted by licensed, vetted educators.
