Mr. Szewczyk and Mr. Watzky began investing together in 2008 and founded BP Energy Partners in 2012 with an emphasis on providing Practical Solutions for infrastructure and energy-adjacent industries. Our investors come from real asset, infrastructure and private equity asset classes. We are raising Fund III. Initially backed by the late T. Boone Pickens. Boone was an early proponent of the Energy Transition through the launching of the “Pickens Plan” in 2008, which emphasized natural gas, renewables, and domestic energy independence. BP manages over $800 million on behalf of corporate pensions, public pensions, domestic and international insurance companies, and family offices.
