Saturday night was a truly unforgettable experience for our Teens! We are thankful to have had the opportunity to attend the “Men of Honor - A Salute to African American Men.” Many thanks to Claudia M. Abercrumbie for inviting our young men to join the celebration and hear from incredibly inspirational and successful community leaders. This experience opened their eyes to more endless possibilities! Congratulations to all the distinguished honorees.

We are honored to share that our team accepted an award in at the Midwest regional conference in Milwaukee for completing 100% of Operation Impact objectives! Operation Impact focuses on 5 priority areas; being Trauma Informed, having a plan for serving teens, life and workforce readiness programming, high quality programming, and collection of organization data. BGCD is honored to receive this recognition from?Boys & Girls Clubs of America?and we look forward to showing the power of collective impact and shared outcomes across the entire Midwest Region.

We're thrilled to share that Crystal Allen, President & CEO of BGCD, has been awarded the prestigious Boys & Girls Clubs of America Blue Spirit Award! This award is the highest honor bestowed on Club leaders and is presented by Jim Clark, President of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, to a Club leader in the midwest region. The Blue Spirit Award recognizes leaders who have continuously gone above and beyond to advocate for youth & teens, drive impact and make a difference in their community. Awardees are highly respected in the community, among their peers and nationally in the Boys & Girls Club of America Movement. Spark Great Futures 2024 was nothing short of INCREDIBLE! Thanks to an outpouring of generosity from the Dayton community, we raised over $430,000 in support of BGCD programs for youth & teens!! Since joining the team as Resource Development Manager, Emma has played a pivotal role in advancing our resource development efforts, professionalizing our brand, and elevating our events. With a strategic approach to fundraising, donor stewardship, and organizational growth, she has been vital in strengthening our relationships with supporters, increasing our visibility, and driving the work forward. In her new role, Emma will take on even greater responsibility for advancing our fundraising goals and ensuring the long-term sustainability of our programs.
