Our 2025 Maryland Boys & Girls Club Legislative Breakfast was held this morning at the?Governor Calvert House?in Annapolis. Thank you to Lieutenant Governor?Aruna Miller, for meaningfully connecting your own personal experience with our mission, as well as?Senator Chris Van Hollen, for your encouraging commitment to our continued statewide growth. We also thank Senators?Guy Guzzone,?Cory McCray?and?Antonio Hayes for your inspiring and encouraging remarks, in addition to all of the attending Maryland legislators,?Maryland Army National Guard,?Maryland State Police,?Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police?and special guests for taking the time to learn about our Maryland Clubs and the positive effect that they are having on our youth.
Finally, we want to thank the youth who truly represented the personal impacts of this Movement – thank you to Maddison for leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance; as well as Chandice Hood (2024 Maryland State Youth of the Year) and Jaheid (Boys & Girls Club young leader), for your personal reflections on what the Club means to you. This event is a true representation of the network of support that has allowed us to meet the needs of Club members in such a holistic, trauma-informed and ultimately impactful way. From the national level to the local level, we are in this together; each of us has an important role to play in ensuring the future success of Maryland Boys & Girls Clubs and our kids.?#BGCMaryland
