2024 Summer in Review - We hit 100 Students Served! This summer we hit a huge milestone by providing free programming in STEM, Financial Literacy, and Mental health to 100 students over the last 4 years! 27 of our students are currently in college pursuing STEM majors, like computer science and biology. We are so grateful! This is a huge accomplishment and could not have happened without our donors and partners throughout the years. "Building trust in vaccines starts with education and community engagement," says Les Barta, director of simulation at the Rutgers University Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy. "By partnering with organizations like VEEC and the Boys & Girls Club, we can reach a broader audience and foster a culture of health and prevention right in their communities as change agents." The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy is training Vaccine Equity Education Coalition Ambassadors at the Boys & Girls Club of Newark to be advocates who counter vaccine hesitancy and build trust in immunization in their communities. #Vaccines #VaccineHesitancy #PharmacyEducation

Just finished the Virtual 5K Run for Hope through Mountainside and Westfield, NJ this morning. I ran for the BGC of Newark first ever robotics program, I ran to bridge the digital divide, but most of all I ran for Arman and to continue his legacy of helping and giving hope to those in need by providing tech equity. Meet Miss Rebecca from the Boys & Girls Club of Newark. Because of the hope and generosity of our Arman Roy Foundation Run For Hope registrants and supporters, we are helping her launch the first competitive robotics club for youth who do not have access to these types of programs. To support the cause come join me and others for our 6th annual Run For Hope. You can run or walk virtually from Friday September 6th - Sunday September 8th or join us in person at Pleasant Valley Park in Bridgewater, NJ on Sunday September 8th. Registration link down below. This past week we worked with New York Football Giants players Dane Belton and Micah McFadden to give back to teen student-athletes from Boys & Girls Club of Clifton and Boys & Girls Club of Newark to create an unforgettable back-to-school shopping spree at JD Sports Fashion in American Dream! ?? These students are now set to start the school year in style, equipped with all the gear they need. A huge thank you to Together Towards Tomorrow for making this possible! ????

This past Friday I wrapped up my summer serving as an Americorp Vaccine Equity Education Fellow. This experience has been an impactful chapter in my post grad journey as I had the privilege of developing and leading a program teaching the teens, at the Boy and Girls Club of Newark, about vaccine equity and the healthcare industry. Seeing these young minds engage with complex topics and grow in their understanding of health equity has been incredibly rewarding. This experience deepened my commitment to community engagement and the power of education. I am so grateful for the opportunity to plant the seeds of advocacy in the next generation of future leaders. A huge thank you to my supervisor Hajar Shirley as well as our incredible partners at the Boys & Girls Club of Newark and Diggs Thaddaeus for their support and collaboration throughout this project. Your guidance and teamwork made this experience truly memorable.
