Our organization, which serves over 6,300 youth across the city, welcomes Metise Moore Sr. as our new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Metise brings over 20 years of executive leadership in the commercial and nonprofit sectors. Notably, he worked with state, local, and federal government agencies on Infrastructure Asset Management, CAPEX & OPEX, utilizing leading technologies and solutions such as AI, Machine Learning, and Predictive Modeling. In his most recent role as Chief Commercial Officer at BlueConduit, Metise served as a leader in the company's mission to address water quality infrastructure gaps and challenges across the nation. There was a particular emphasis on marginalized communities, a commitment that originated in response to the Flint, Michigan water crisis, where BlueConduit pioneered a resolution. Before his time at BlueConduit, Metise was the US Head of Smart Infrastructure at Siemens, where he provided renewable energy solutions, including Virtual-MicroGrid, EV, and Energy Efficiency solutions for North America. With his background in technology, he plans to elevate our STEAM curriculum and partnerships. Metise strives to foster 21st-century skill sets for Club members to promote greater investment in the local workforce. A Denver, CO native, Metise initiated his journey as a junior college basketball player at Foothills College in Los Altos Hills, CA. He subsequently transitioned to becoming a D1 player at the University of Akron in Ohio. His deep commitment to sports significantly influenced his professional path. In 1998, Metise founded the Denver Hooperz Youth Organization and later established the Colorado Connect Youth Organization, which eventually merged with the Chauncey Billups Elite Basketball Academy in 2013. Throughout his involvement, Metise and his team played a pivotal role in supporting disadvantaged youth in the community. Their efforts led to a remarkable 100% graduation rate, in stark contrast to the 66.1% graduation rate recorded by Denver Public Schools. Additionally, over a 24-year span, they successfully secured over $15 million in scholarship dollars for these student-athletes. Metise Moore Sr. has been happily married to his wife, Tina Moore, for 26 years, and they are proud parents of two wonderful adult children, Metise Jr. and Madison, ages 27 and 25, respectively. He is an excellent cook, an avid fisherman, and loves to explore new places through travel. After 23 years in the Boys & Girls Club movement and nine years as Chief Executive of BGCM, Keith Blanchard retired on October 31st, 2023. Keith built a legacy of strong community partnerships and profound growth for our organization during his tenure. The BGCM Executive Search Committee received over 400 applications for the CEO role. In Metise Moore Sr., they found a standout candidate with a distinguished career in executive leadership, nonprofit management, and youth empowerment.?

Our wrap-up party included Jeopardy-style quizzes, delicious snacks, and a tour of Crosstown Concourse. Topics from this summer's Teen Talk sessions included Goal-Setting, Healthy Communication, Abstinence, Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC), STI Prevention, and Healthy Relationships! ?? We're continually impressed by the growth we see from the students and the dedication of Boys and Girls Club staff members in creating a safe, supportive environment for students to learn about important topics. ?? Yesterday, we celebrated KPMG US’s 3rd annual Community Impact Day, where KPMG US professionals across the country dedicated the day to volunteering and giving back in the communities where we live and work.
