On October 25, 2024, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson celebrated Lights On Afterschool, an initiative highlighting the essential role of afterschool programming for children, families, and communities. We celebrated with incredible community partners, offering face painting, sweet treats, balloon animals, and more. The event featured an interactive podcast booth, an energizing Zumba tutorial, and crowd-pleasing dance performances. Afterschool programs do more than provide safe, engaging environments—they equip young people with critical skills, foster supportive relationships, and offer enriching experiences that empower them to thrive. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the community organizations and volunteers who helped make BGCC's Lights On Afterschool a success. Their collaboration enables us to continue delivering transformative programming that leaves a lasting impact.
