This gathering of visionary leaders and innovators has been nothing short of transformative. From thought-provoking panels to one-on-one conversations with peers, investors, and entrepreneurs, the energy and ideas shared have been truly inspiring. We are pleased to announce the receipt of a grant from the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST) to extend our robust data in standard?Multiple Sclerosis (MS) animal models?to evaluate potential benefits in more progressive forms of the disease. We will work closely with Dr. Robert Axtell at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation to advance this critical effort. ? Unlike the more common form of the disease, patients with progressive MS do not experience recovery periods. Progressive MS is characterized by a steady worsening of neurological function and an accumulation of disability.?Currently, only one treatment has received approval from the FDA, but it is limited in its efficacy and is only suitable for patients in the early stages of the disease. Existing management strategies primarily focus on symptom control, thereby highlighting the urgent need to develop new treatments to slow disease progression and improve the overall quality of life for affected individuals. ? Cadenza Bio's compounds have demonstrated promise in preclinical MS animal models by exhibiting the potential to mitigate inflammation, promote remyelination, and facilitate functional recovery. Our dual-action agents provide neuroprotective and immunomodulatory impacts, suggesting great potential to halt disease progression and repair the nervous system. ? We are thrilled to advance our research with the aim of easing the suffering of ALL patients with Multiple Sclerosis.
