We are so thankful for all the 7,000 adult volunteers who do all they can to show their support and guidance to the over 20,000 Scouts in the Central Texas area. Volunteers like Josh Haney featured here. Josh was nominated as a Scouter who has gone above and beyond! Here's what folks say about Josh: "Amazing popcorn master who devotes so much of their time to encouraging the kids and organizing and sharing all the opportunities to sell for the kids. Thank you for all that you do! Our scouts are very lucky to have you as their popcorn leader." Thanks to all who submitted someone you are thankful for in Scouting. We love highlighting our Scouts and leaders! Let's keep that chain of thanks going. Drop the name of someone YOU are thankful for in Scouting in the comments! We hope your family has a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. Drive safe, get seconds, and enjoy time with your friends and family.

Isn't it amazing when you really connect with the parents in your child's Scouting unit? Today's Thankful moment is brought to you by the infectious smile of Priss Cavazos and her Scouting friend. Her fellow Scouting parent writes, "Priss is the most enthusiastic Scout volunteer I know. I am thankful that she is always willing to help with anything and everything and is a great leader and organizer, and my Scout ride or die!" There are just a few more days to nominate someone you are thankful for in Scouting. It could be a Scouter, a leader, or council staff. Submit a little note and a photo here:

This week's "I am thankful for" message comes from a very thankful Cub Scout mom. ?? "Arka and his wife Kasey are my son’s den leaders. They do a wonderful job of coming up with creative ideas to keep the kids interested. They are always in a great mood and have been super communicative about what’s going on in the Cub Scout world. Thank you for your involvement in molding our kiddos." Great work, Akra! Who in Scouting are YOU thankful for? Give your favorite Scout or Scouter a shout-out on our website: https://buff.ly/3YTuB5G ??

Children and communities have never needed Scouting more than today. Although Scouting activities are filled with fun and adventure, they also fill an unmet need for young people to experience working as a team while also practicing the leadership skills of empathy, accountability, and responsibility. As we get closer to Giving Tuesday - a global celebration of generosity - on December 3, we're hoping you will generously agree to help us by sharing this post and adding a personal message about what Scouting means to you. Thank you for all you do for youth through Scouting! Learn more about our Giving Tuesday message at https://buff.ly/3Uusr8V.

It's Thankful Thursday! Each week during the month of November, we are sharing who YOU are thankful for in Scouting. This week's nominee is Tiffany Dunckel, Den Leader of Pack 82, Wolf Den 6. Tiffany has been serving for a little over a year, and she’s done a phenomenal job teaching Scouts to "Do Their Best." Her support for the Scouts (and our pack) can be seen in the time and effort she puts into our various adventures and the growth they have made after one full year of Scouting! We are thankful for her guidance and leadership for our Scouts. Want to share someone YOU are grateful for in Scouting? Send your nomination here: https://buff.ly/4etgWby
